Does an Air Intake System Increase a Car's Horsepower?

A car's air intake system can be upgraded to produce more horsepower, and its purpose is to boost engine air volume by decreasing air resistance. By drawing colder air from the engine compartment, performance air intakes improve combustion efficiency. This results in a more powerful air-fuel mixture, leading to improved combustion and increased power generation. Standard horsepower improvements are 5–20, although high-performance vehicles can get more.
